For more than several decades, the foreign sabotage operations of the Islamic Republic have been closely associated with the Ministry of Intelligence; from threatening physical elimination and assassination of Iranians and foreign citizens to cyber attacks against various targets.
Recently, an exclusive report about one of the key figures in the Ministry of Intelligence was published by Iran International TV, which in a sense unveiled the individual behind the ministry’s overseas assassinations. “Seyed Yahya Hosseini Panjaki,” using the alias “Seyed Yahya Hamidi,” is the Deputy of Internal Security at the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Intelligence and head of the Israel desk. He is one of the most important officials in this ministry, playing a key role in planning the Islamic Republic’s foreign sabotage operations.

The important point here is that the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Intelligence only appears to be a complex and professional organization on the surface. Just as the details and face of the individual behind this ministry’s sabotage operations leaked out without their knowledge, they have also had major slip-ups in other areas, and continue to do so! It is generally said that Iran’s intelligence system is riddled with blunders.
New evidence shows that under Yahya’s internal security division operates a cyber group known as Banished Kitten (AKA Storm-0842 or Dune) So essentially , it is a cyber group working for the CT division in MOIS, which is a designated terror body in the EU.
Banished kitten activities have often been so clumsy that significant details of their activities have leaked out. For example, their work against Albanian government bodies in attempt to reach MEK, or forging a website in the name of the University of Munich inviting individuals to a fictitious 2024 Nuclear Conference using the address nuclear2024[.]com.
‘Banished Kitten’ use several advertising platforms and profiles -predominantly Telegram and websites to share the information they gain from some of their attacks.
These platforms use a vague identity attempting to present itself using various cover stories or fronts to conceal their identity and affiliation.
According to an analysis of several security reports published on the group , these are several advertising platforms created and run by the cyber group directed by the CT division:

Poor and amateurish performance, leaving behind digital footprints and evidence, makes the exposure of details about the groups activities including the identities of individuals under Seyed Yahya Hosseini Panjaki’s command quite easy to obtain.
Over the past few years, the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Intelligence, especially the Internal Security Deputy section, has been so involved in cyber attacks against the Albanian government, the MEK, and other European countries that it has neglected internal organizational threats.
This is the story of a disgraceful section of an infamous ministry that carries the name “Internal Security” but whose mission is to create insecurity outside of Iran.
The Internal Security Deputy of the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Intelligence has been officially recognized as a terrorist organization by the European Union since 2019 due to repeated sabotage against various countries. According to information received by Iran International, “Sidihi Hosseini Panjaki” alias “Sidihi Hamidi”, the deputy of internal security of the Ministry of Information of the Islamic Republic, is the main designer of this ministry’s operation to assassinate the opponents of the Islamic Republic abroad.

A source in the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Republic said that Hosseini Panjaki is one of the new generation of intelligence managers trusted by Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic.
The Ministry of Information of the Islamic Republic, along with the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has been the executor of the most important subversive activities of the Islamic Republic abroad for many years, but the information received by Iran International shows that the Ministry of Information has a more concrete structure than the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for overseas operations.
Who is “Sidihi Hosseini Panjaki”?
Yahya Hosseini Panjaki was born on 3rd of Bahman 1353 in Karaj.
He is a PhD student in political science from Tabriz Azad University and two of his articles have been published in scientific journals; One is “the role of rumors and hybrid threats in the security environment” which was published in the National Security Quarterly of the Ministry of Defense and the other is an article titled “Takfiri terrorism in cyberspace and strategies to deal with it” which was published in the Strategic Studies of Cyberspace Quarterly belonging to the National Defense University. It has been published.
Hosseini Panjaki has been sanctioned by the European Union and the United Kingdom for his participation in the bombing plot in Paris in 2017. The purpose of this plot was to bomb the conference of the People’s Mojahedin Organization in Paris, but the plan was not implemented when the police discovered it.
In the Ministry of Intelligence, he founded the “Shaheed Soleimani” headquarters, which carries out sabotage operations in the world in cooperation with the intelligence agencies of the Islamic Republic and with the help of the Revolutionary Guards.
The name of this headquarters refers to the plan of the Islamic Republic to take revenge for the killing of Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of IRGC Quds Force.
According to an intelligence source, Yahya Hosseini has a very close relationship with the Revolutionary Guards and has even traveled to Syria and Lebanon many times and cooperates with Hezbollah and the Quds Force through the exchange of information between the Ministry of Intelligence and the Revolutionary Guards and their operational teams.
However, according to this source’s statements, the senior officials of the IRGC do not have a good middle ground with the ambitions of this senior official of the Ministry of Information.
Yahya Hosseini, in addition to the deputy of internal security, is also the head of the Israel desk in the Ministry of Information.
An intelligence source told Iran International that this double responsibility is the result of Ali Khamenei’s decision. The leader of the Islamic Republic has given priority to offensive activities against Israel, and as a result, more financial and human resources have been allocated to this sector.
Before Hosseini Panjaki, Saeed Hashemi Moghadam was the deputy of internal security of the Ministry of Information.
62-year-old Hashemi Moghadam, one of the oldest directors of the Ministry of Intelligence, was also sanctioned by the European Union and the United Kingdom after the revelation of the Paris bombing plot. Currently, although the Deputy Minister of Internal Security is still on the sanctions list of the European Union, Hosseini Panjaki’s name has not yet been added to this list.
What is the terrorist mechanism of the Ministry of Information?
The Ministry of Information of the Islamic Republic of Iran sends its forces abroad for operations in two different ways.

بر اساس این سازوکار، وزارت اطلاعات عملیات متعددی در خاک اروپا انجام داده است. یکی از مهمترین این برنامهها، توطئه برای بمبگذاری در همایش سازمان مجاهدین خلق در پاریس بود که اسدالله اسدی، دبیر سوم سفارت جمهوری اسلامی در اتریش، آن را طراحی کرده بود.
این توطئه ناکام ماند و پس از دستگیری اسدی، او به ۲۰ سال زندان محکوم شد، اما بروکسل او را با یک شهروند بلژیکی زندانی در ایران مبادله کرد.
عملیات دیگر، ترور محمدرضا کلاهی صمدی، عضو سازمان مجاهدین خلق بود. او به دست داشتن در بمبگذاری هفتم تیر در ساختمان حزب جمهوری اسلامی متهم بود و مدتها با هویتی دیگر زندگی میکرد.
او ۹ سال پیش مقابل خانهاش در شهر آلمیره هلند کشته شد.
دو سال بعد احمد مولا نیسی، از فعالان سیاسی عرب، در شهر لاهه هلند به قتل رسید.
روزنامه تایمز خبر داد حلقه ارتباطی وزارت اطلاعات با این دو ترور، رضوان تقی، تبهکاری مراکشیالاصل بوده است.
ترور سعید کریمیان، مدیر شبکه جم تیوی و حذف مسعود مولوی، مدیر کانال تلگرامی جعبه سیاه هر دو در استانبول، کار همین شاخه وزارت اطلاعات بود.
یک روزنامهنگار اهل ترکیه چهار سال پیش فاش کرد که محمدجواد آذری جهرمی، وزیر وقت ارتباطات یک روز پیش از قتل مسعود مولوی با او تلفنی صحبت و او را تهدید کرده بود.
آذری جهرمی، با نام مستعار جواد ناظریان کارمند رسمی وزارت اطلاعات است.
سازمان امنیت ترکیه، میت، محمدرضا ناصرزاده کارمند کنسولگری جمهوری اسلامی در ترکیه را به دلیل نقشآفرینی در ترور مولوی دستگیر کرد، اما او زود آزاد شد و به ایران برگشت.
در اسناد دادگاه متهمان ترور مولوی فاش شد که آنها برای دو مقام ارشد وزارت اطلاعات به نام «حاجی» و «حاجی آقا» همکاری میکردند.
نیروی نیابتی وزارت اطلاعات برای انجام این ترورها، ناجی شریفی زیندشتی قاچاقچی بینالمللی بود که از ترکیه گریخته و در ارومیه ساکن است. او در پوشش یک موسسه خیریه، با همکاری سپاه پاسداران، مواد مخدر به اروپا ترانزیت میکند.
گروه او فرجالله چعب، شهروند ایرانی-سوئدی از مخالفان جمهوری اسلامی را از استانبول ربود و در ایران به وزارت اطلاعات تحویل داد. چعب اردیبهشت ماه سال گذشته اعدام شد.
در تمام این فعالیتهای تروریستی، آدمربایی و خرابکاری، سه گروه شامل معاونت داخلی وزارت اطلاعات، سفارتخانههای جمهوری اسلامی و قاچاقچیان بینالمللی فعال بودهاند.
این سازوکار زیر نظر یحیی حسینی پنجکی نفر دوم وزارت اطلاعات مدیریت میشود.
