In the Lumbilla region, about twenty kilometers northeast of Burkina Faso’s capital Ouagadougou, the first military base of the new Afrika Korps was built.
Satellite images show expansion of this camp since December 2023, and this base was built as a result of military cooperation with Russia over several months.
