A secret laboratory at the Chinese corporation China Electronics Technology Group simulated an attack on American warships using space weapons and hypersonic missiles – SCMP
The purpose of the simulation was to blind the American ships, thereby catching them by surprise.
For this, a combination of a satellite with an electronic warfare system (EW) + hypersonic missiles was used.

Chinese researchers have suggested that the combat radius of an American aircraft carrier with carrier-based aircraft is 1,000 km. The PLA can launch hypersonic missiles to a distance of 1,200 km.
1. China discovered an American ship.
2. Launched hypersonic missiles in a vertical position to an altitude of 200 km.
3. At the same time, the satellite’s electronic warfare system hanging over the aircraft carrier suppressed the missile detection radar.
4. At the moment the hypersonic missiles approached a distance of 50 km from the ship, the satellite stopped suppressing the radar. The missiles, maneuvering, successfully hit the target.
❗️It is believed that three satellites with electronic warfare in low Earth orbit are enough to carry out such a strike, while 28 satellites are needed for a global strike.
Satellites in low orbits require less sensitive receivers and transmitter power. The signals generated by satellites are needed only to drown out the noise from the reflections of launched hypersonic missiles. Since the satellites are only a few hundred kilometers away, signal loss is also minimal.
