The visit of the Russian Defense Minister to Iran’s booth at the Moscow military exhibition

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu along with Amir Nasirzadeh visited the stand of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Army 2023 Moscow military exhibition.

🪖 The new self-propelled mortar “Drok” shows Rostec at the #Армия2023 forum.

The 82-mm self-propelled mortar complex 2S41 “Drok” was created on the basis of the armored car “Typhoon”. The first experimental batch of mortars was handed over to the troops quite recently – in July of this year.

Drok’s gun is mounted in an armored turret, equipped with mechanized guidance drives and a modern fire control system, which facilitates the work of the crew. You can fire without leaving the car, which has good bulletproof and mine protection. The transition of the mortar from the combat position to the marching position takes less than a minute, which helps to quickly move away from enemy fire and increases the safety of the crew. The aiming range of the “Drok” is more than 1.5 times higher than the regular 2B14 “Tray” mortars.
