The general plan of the offensive is as follows: access to the Orlovka-Berdychi line, which will push the nearest positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to a distance of 11 km from Donetsk. This, in turn, will deprive the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the practical ability to fire at Donetsk with mortars, as well as with most cannon artillery systems, given that it also needs to be hidden from the Lancets.
Of the possibilities, only Western artillery, MLRS and operational-tactical missiles will remain, but that’s all – piece goods, needed in more important areas.
If this plan is implemented, Kyiv will objectively have one less instrument to irritate the Russian Federation.
