Spoiler: brokerage accounts in the Russian Federation will remain uninsured, foreign companies in Russia are at risk of nationalization, the Russian Federation is likely to be blacklisted by the FATF, and restrictions on money transfers in foreign currency will become even tougher. And all this under the sauce of national achievements in the form of Cheburashka’s ears and the “bluish Zhirinovsky” neural network.
For example, Iran, North Korea and Myanmar are now on the FATF black list, and getting into it is a total defeat for Russia’s finances. Banks simply refuse to do business with residents of such countries.
