Aselsan, Aselsan A.Ş. is a Turkish defense corporation headquartered in Ankara, Turkey. Its main operating area is research, development and manufacture of advanced military products for air, land and maritime forces. The company is one of the major contractors of Turkish Armed Forces.

The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) has received an upgraded ILGAR electronic warfare system from Aselsan.

Ismail Demir, head of the Department of Defense Industries (SSB), announced on Twitter that the Ilgar system had just been handed over to the army.

The ILGAR system is developed for electronic attacks on target communication systems that communicate on different frequency bands. This system can be deployed to prevent and delay the communication of the target gangs or to deceive them by transmitting incorrect information to the enemy forces.

This system has high output power, advanced mission planning software and ….

Aelsan has already delivered the MILKAR-4A2 high-frequency jamming system and SANCAK electronic warfare systems to the military. According to Turkish media, the MILKAR-3A3 V / UHF (ultra-high frequency) jamming system, which has been developed for electronic attack operations against V / UHF frequency communication systems, is called ILGAR.

It noted that the ILGAR system was developed for electronic attacks on target communication systems communicating in different frequency bands.

ILGAR can be deployed to prevent and delay the communication of target bands or help provide friendly troops the tactical upper hand by transmitting false information.

With its high output power, advanced mission planning software, mobile usage concept, reactive mixing capability and increased mixing efficiency, ILGAR is expected to become an important force in electronic warfare.

Open sources thus suggested that the upgraded MILKAR-3A3 V/UHF (Very / Ultra High Frequency) Jamming System developed for electronic attack operations against V/UHF frequency band communication systems were named ILGAR.
