Russian news agency RIA Novosti reports that Russian and Turkish leaders are in talks over Russia’s delivery of advanced Russian fighter aircraft Sukhoi 37 and 57 to Turkey.

Iranian President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Russia and Erdogan’s and Putin’s visit to Russia’s advanced Sukhoi aircraft at Russia’s Max 2019 air show in Moscow on Monday, RIA Novosti reported.

The Russian government had earlier announced Moscow’s desire to sell advanced Sukhoi planes to Turkey after declaring that the US F-35 advanced aircraft would not be delivered to Turkey. Erdogan has also threatened that if the Trump administration fails to deliver the American F-35 aircraft to Turkey, the Ankara government will meet its defense requirements from other sources, including Russia.
